Gingerbread Cookie Smoothie

Gingerbread doesn’t have to be crunchy…

The key ingredient in this smoothie is ginger, a root plant that has many health benefits such as improving absorption of nutrients in the body.

 

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Almond Milk

½ Banana

¼ tsp. of Nutmeg

¼ tsp. of Cinnamon

¼ tsp. of Ground Ginger

½ tsp. of Vanilla Extract

1 tsp. of Molasses

½ tsp. of Honey

2-3 Ice Cubes

 

Steps:

  1. Cut the banana into ½ inch slices
  2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
  3. Blend until smooth

 

Dessert Smoothie Tip: Try adding Stevia, an all-natural sweetener, to this smoothie to make it sweeter.

Apple Pie Smoothie

Apple Pie Mark II

The key ingredient in this smoothie is apple, which will satisfy not only your sweet tooth but will also satisfy half of the recommended daily fruit intake for adults.

1 Cup of Fat-Free Milk

1 Banana

1 Apple

½ Cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt

1 tsp. of Cinnamon

3-4 Ice Cubes

 

Steps:

  1. Cut the banana into ½ inch slices
  2. Slice the apple
  3. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
  4. Blend until smooth

Butterscotch Pecan Smoothie

Another Superfood Smoothie

Pecans are an great source of manganese and also a good source of protein and unsaturated fat.

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Almond Milk

1 tbsp. of Maple Syrup

1 pinch of Salt

1 tsp. of Butterscotch Flavor

1 Banana

2 tsp. of pecans

2-3 Cubes of Ice

 

Steps:

  1. Cut the banana into ½ inch slices
  2. Add all of the ingredients, except the pens, to the blender
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. Add the pecans and blend until they’re crushed

 

Dessert Smoothie Tip: Try adding ½ of a tsp. of Honey to make this smoothie sweeter.

Sweet Potato Pie Smoothie

Sweet Potato Makeover

The key ingredient in this smoothie is sweet potato, which is very high in vitamin B6.

 

Ingredients:

½ Cup of Sweet Potato

1 tsp of Pecans

½ Cup of Plain Greek Yogurt

1 Cup of Milk

3 tbsp of Whipped Cream

¼ Cinnamon

1 Pinch of Nutmeg

¼ tsp. of Vanilla Extract

3 tsp. of Maple Syrup

1 Cup of Ice

 

Steps:

  1. Cook the sweet potato, then dice it into chunks
  2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
  3. Blend until smooth

  3. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
  4. Blend until smooth
