Elderberry Smoothie

Elderberries help fight off cold and flu.

The key ingredient in this smoothie is elderberry extract. This berry is an all-natural fighter of cold and flu.

Ingredients:

5 Strawberries
2 tsp. of Honey
2 tsp. of Elderberry Juice
3-4 Ice Cubes

Steps:

1. Cut the strawberries in halves
2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
3. Blend until smooth

Healing Smoothie Tip: Try adding ½ cup of Greek Yogurt to make this smoothie creamier.

Orange Avocado Smoothie

Avocados are not just good in sandwiches.

The key ingredients in this smoothie are cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric. All of these ingredients are known to reduce inflammation.

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Water
2 Oranges
1 Avocado
½ tsp. of Turmeric
¼ tsp. of Cinnamon
1 tsp. of Ginger
1 Cup of Spinach
1 tsp. of Honey

Steps:

1. Peel the orange, then cut into small pieces being sure to remove all seeds
2. Remove the skin of the avocado, then cut the flesh into chunks
3. Grate the turmeric
4. Grate the ginger
5. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
6. Blend until smooth

Healing Smoothie Tip: Try adding a pinch of black pepper to this smoothie to help better absorb the nutrients in the turmeric.

Buckwheat Honey heals…

The key ingredient in this smoothie is buckwheat honey. The antioxidants and antimicrobials found in buckwheat honey can sooth sore throats.

2 tbsp. of Buckwheat Honey
1 Banana
½ Cup of Green Tea
½ Cup of Almond Milk
2-3 Ice Cubes

Steps:

1. Brew ½ a cup of green tea, allow it to cool
2. Cut the banana into ½ inch slices
3. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
4. Blend until smooth

Stress Free Chamomile Smoothies

½ Cup of Chamomile Tea
¼ Cup of pineapple Juice
1 Large Carrot
½ of One Pear
3 Drops of Lavender Tincture
3-4 Ice Cubes
1 tsp. of Honey

 

Steps:

1. Brew a ½ of a cup of chamomile tea, allow it to cool
2. Cut the carrot into ¼ inch slices
3. Dice the pear into chunks
4. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
5. Blend until smooth
